Health benefits of different fruits

Citrus fruits (oranges, limes, lemons) and berries

Apples
Consumption of apples has been associated with a lower risk of stroke. One compound in apples that may offer this protective effect is a phytochemical known as quercetin.

A recent study in the Netherlands found certain phyto-chemicals founds in apples and other similar fruits may reduce chronic coughs, phlegm and shortness of breath in people with certain respiratory problems.
