Eggs, a food taboo!

In most of the ethnical groups in Uganda eggs were not eaten by women due to food taboos. It was referred as a food item for man and children as a protein source.

Eggs were mainly eaten by ethnical groups of north eastern Uganda. On average they consumed two eggs a week which were cooked before eating.
